Curtains...finally :)

I can't believe it's been over a month since I last posted about the new living room stuff. In that time, I've been super busy - school let out, and my son has been doing all sorts of summer activities. Speaking of my son, I started a diabetes blog and have been devoting some time to that as well.

Where we left off last was curtains for the living room. I hate to buy new when a coat of paint will do, so I took a can of spray paint to the gold colored curtain rod , and transformed it to a "wrought iron" look.

So, without any further ado...

Lea,

That color goes so well with the yellow paint color. Did you post
the brand and color, I don't remember, but I would like to know.

The curtain rod looks great painted
black.

Hi Elaine!
Thanks, I was worried about the colors going well together and with my couch, which stumped me for a long time.
Glad you like it!

The paint is Warm Muffin by Behr.

My walls are Cookie Crumb by Behr. It's maybe one shade more brown than yours. My couch (well, futon) is nearly the same colour as your couch. Weird. Very weird. I like it though (well, yeah, I would, huh?) I love the blue cushions with the brown.

If you want to share it, could you email me a link to your diabetes blog? I'm always interested in reading those.

Lea wow that looks gorgeous! Love the curtains, and the silk in the pillows too, it is such a nice contrast to the couch (which is pretty too!)
I really like the rods black, that looks cool!
The fireplace screen is so pretty! That whole fireplace is lovely.
And love that chest :O)

Your living room looks so neat and clean and clutter free, unlike mine, LOL!

I think you did an awesome job, looks right out of a magazine :O)

Julia, you already read my blog! :) I do CandyatMidnight (I'm also on TuDiabetes.) Now, about your paint color...I will have to remember the name Cookie Crumb for when it's time to paint the office. All my rooms' colors have food names. Raffia Cream, French Toast, Biscotti. Oh yeah, I can identify with food best, I think!LOL

Erin, I made it a point to move the clutter out of frame...believe me there's PLENTY here! Noah and his birthday Legos have invaded. :)
Besides, your things are not clutter! You have well placed accessories and cats. Hee hee
